Leaving La Bajada Hill. This is on public lands within an Indian Reservation.

Cactus flowers

A view of the top of the hill.

Nathan on the edge.

The road that is in the distance is the one that brought us here.

This had to have been hair raising to drive these curves in those old cars!

Now we begin our trek up La Bajada Hill. This was a very old alignment of 66. We walked as it is impossible to drive. I didn't make it all the way to the top. I was running out of daylight and we were far from our destination for the night. I was also running out of breath.

Also, the oldest house.

Moving on we are now at the oldest church in the country in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Another view of the church.

This all that remains of a second church that was built on top of the first church.
